My FAVE Chai recipe!

  • 12 cardamom pods
  • 8 black peppercorns
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 4 inch piece of ginger- sliced
  • 4 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 4 c water
  • 1/4 c full fat coconut milk
  • 1 T MCT or coconut oil
  • 1 T grass fed butter
  • 1/2 tsp chai stevia or sweetener of choice
Add all spices except tea bags to water in a saucepan. Bring to boil and then reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes. Add tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain. Add 1/4 of the brewed tea to a blender cup or cup you can use immersion blender with. Add remaining ingredients, blend.

Makes about 4 cups of tea.
